Have you ever wanted to use motion capture, but the current options are too expensive or you don’t have the right equipment? Well, today is your lucky day! Move.AI has come out with a brand new Motion Capture (MoCap) system called Move One. Move One allows you to be able to do single person motion capture using only an intuitive app and one iPhone (a single camera).
Sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it? Good news is that us here at CoPilot got early access to try it out and see how it works. There are a few short steps involved in this process, but they are very simple.
Step 1: Grab your iPhone
Step 2: Download the Move One iOS app
Step 3: Capture your video. Make sure that your phone is stable for the recording.
Step 4: Process your session using Move One and get your motion data back within minutes
Step 5: Integrate your motion data into your 3D animation
If you follow all of these steps, you should be able to create your own character animation as easily and quickly as we did. Let us know what you create or how this new tool makes your life easier for your creative projects. If you want to see Move One in action, head over to our latest youtube video, where we go over the whole process start to finish. Happy creating!
